We found a great website to help get you on the way by letting you search for Christmas light displays in your area and get directions to them. At Christmas Light Finder you simply put in you zip code and select the number of miles you are looking within. If you have a display of your own, you can add it to their database for others to find and enjoy.
This is their story as told on their website: ChristmasLightFinder was created in 2005 by Chris Bromley. After years of decorating his home, many people started to ask him where other light displays were located. While he always gave them directions to the largest light displays in his area, he thought that a website with all of these places would be a good idea. Once he joined PlanetChristmas, he realized that this happened to everyone and thus, the idea started to grow.
He got together with a friend, Joe, who was very well versed in web design and php coding and together, they created the ChristmasLightFinder.com website – a database of homes that decorate during the holidays.
In 2011, Chris sold the ChristmasLightFinder.com website to Janice Blasko, a website developer by trade and Christmas light enthusiast by passion.
